The following is a quick overview of the 2022 Burton snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2021-22 season, and any old 2020-21 boards that aren't returning with a 2022 model.
Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best.

Summary
So there you have the 2022 Burton snowboards.
Out with the Old
As is typical with Burton, the Family Tree sees a lot of comers and goers - but this year there are a lot more comers.
Whilst the Family Tree collection has expanded, the more freestyle focused boards have contracted, with the ousting of the Custom Twin Off-Axis, Paramount, Descendant and Name Dropper. The Paramount is replaced, but the others are clean dumps.
The Day Trader and Kilroy Pow also exit. The Mystery Skeleton Key is gone too - but that's expected as the Mystery model changes every year.
In with the New
5 new family tree models come in, one being a splitboard, and one a mystery model, replacing the 2 leavers. Then 3 more family models - the 3D Daily Driver, 3D Deep Daze and 3D Double Dog were late 2021 releases. The other 3D (the Fish 3D) model was also a late 2021 Release.
Then there's the Blossom, which largely replaces the outgoing Paramount, and the new freeride model, the Cartographer.
The Instigator also gets a PurePop version, whilst still retaining the flat top version.
I was able to test a good number of 2022 Burton boards and I'll release my reviews for those throughout the year. For all Snowboarding Profiles' Burton reviews check out the link at the button below.
