Below is a quick overview of the 2022 Burton bindings lineup.
First I will look at any new bindings for the 2021-22 season, and any old 2021 models that aren't returning with a 2022 model.
Then I'll place each binding into the categories where I see them best fitting.

All of Burton's 2021 models are returning this year.

Hi Nate,
Your site is rad and full of pertinent info. Thanks for the great information. I have been riding for almost 30 years but It has been a number of years since I purchased a brand new board (last new one was the Greatful Dead k2 in the 90’s) and would appreciate your recommendation.
I am 5’9, 170 ish. Size 11 boot. I purchased the burton step on binding/boots last year and would now like to upgrade the board. I do not enter the park but enjoy fast groomers and power days. All mountain with no freestyle is probably where I fall.
Thank you for your time and insights.

Hi Pete
Thanks for your message.
Size-wise, I’d be looking at something around 157-159, given that you’re not really riding freestyle. Though if you’re riding trees a fair bit, I’d probably say more like 157/158. However, you could go a little shorter depending on width. With 11s, I’d recommend going for a wide size for most boards – some boards will be fine for 11s in a regular width, but most will need a wide. Some wides are wider than others too, so we can have a closer look at specific sizing once we’ve narrowed down some options.
In terms of what you’re describing there are a lot of options, so let’s try to narrow it down a bit further. Might require a little back and forth to hone in on the right options.
Given no freestyle, I would say you’re going to want to look for something form one of these categories:
>>My Top 10 All Mountain Snowboards
>> My Top 10 Freeride Snowboards
>>Top 10 Surfy (mellow) Freeride Snowboards
A few questions to help narrow it down:
1. Do you see yourself as someone who rides aggressively most of the time or do you like to slow things down and ride casual sometimes too?
2. Do you ride trees?
3. Do you ever ride switch? If so, how often?
4. Which step on binding/boot combo did you get?
