The following is a quick overview of the 2024 Ride snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2023-24 season, and any 2022-23 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model.
Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best and finally take a look at any changes for returning boards.

Summary
So there you have the 2024 Ride snowboards.
Out with the Old and In with the New
All of Ride's '23 models are returning with a '24 model and they bring in one new model - the Deep Fake.
Changes to Existing Models
Kink: GAINS new size 143. Foundation Core replaces the Performance Core that it had on the 2023 model. The Performance Core had Aspen, bamboo and Paulownia, with the Foundation Core that seems to be all Aspen. . The '24 model downgrades to an Extruded base from the Sintered base on the '23 model. From "High-end sintered 4000 Ptex" on the '23 model to "Extruded 1500 Ptex" on thew new '24 model.
Saturday: GAINS new size 138. Tip/tail shape appears more elongated. Shape dimensions tweaked too. Tip/tail width, waist width and sidecut are all changed, and assumably the nose and tail length have changed too, though they don't provide those specs. The effective edge appears to be the same. Change for width/sidecut, using the 146 as an example: '24 waist width = 240mm ('23 = 242mm) | '24 tip/tail width = 289mm ('23 = 287mm) and the '24 sidecut = 6.4/5.4/6.4 ('23 = 9.3/6.8/9.3) - so the sidecut appears to be the most significant change.
MTNPIG: GAINS size 151.
All returning models also get a new graphic.

Hey Nate, great website. Keep up the great work.
I have the Ride Burnout (about 5 years old), love it. But it’s now for retirement, it’s looking its age. I currently ride a 157 but I’m 220lbs. On paper I think I should be on 160+
I’m looking at Ride Algothrym and Shadowban. The current Ride Burnout apparently is very stiff and another review really put me off. I’ve also looked at Jones Mountain Twin.
First and foremost I love speed, and I’m just nailing switch. Stability is important to me. Love the back country but being in Europe it’s normally limited due to snow. Not fussed on jump parks. I would say I’m pushing advanced rider and a friend has urged me to look at Capita Mercury/DOA
Would I regret upgrading to 160+? Should I definitely move to 160+
Any advice I’d appreciate. Esp on the board.
Thank you
Lee

Hi Lee
Thanks for your message.
If you’re looking to ride backcountry, even if it’s not that often, then I wouldn’t go DOA. It’s not great in deeper snow.
Given you like speed and stability is important to you, I think the Mercury or the Algorythm are likely the best choices. Note that we haven’t tested the Algorhythm, but from what I’ve heard it’s more stable and should give you better stability at speed vs the Mountain Twin. Again, not sure exactly how it would compared as we haven’t tested it, but that’s what I’ve heard. The Shadowban is a more mellow board and while it would likely treat you pretty well in the backcountry, not as good in terms of stability at speed, from what I know (haven’t tested that one yet either unfortunately (Ride boards have been hard to get hold of last couple of years), but from what I’ve heard, it’s more mellow and very similar to the Ride Wild Life, which we did test.
So, I would be leaning Mercury. But Algorhythm would likely be suitable as well.
Size-wise, it’s likely that you’ll want to go longer, but we can get more accurate than 160+. A 160 is a lot different to a 165, for example. If you could let me know your height and boot size. Weight is more important than height in sizing, but I like to take everything into account to get the most accurate sizing estimate possible. I already have your weight and riding style/ability, so if you could just let me know your height and boot size and I can give you my opinion on sizing, if you want it.
Hope this helps
