Below is a quick overview of the 2021 Nitro snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2020-21 season, and any old 2019-20 boards that aren't returning with a 2021 model.
Then I'll look at each board and put them into the categories where I see them best fitting.

Summary
So there you have the 2021 Nitro snowboards.
There have been relatively few changes, given the size of Nitro's line. But, apart from the Victoria Pro, which is just a tweaked Victoria (naturally), the other new boards are genuinely new, rather than just being essentially name changes. In fact one of them is a new board with the same name as an old board, essentially.
I was able to test a couple of 2021 Nitro boards, which was nice as I had only tested one previously. For all Snowboarding Profiles' Nitro reviews, check out the link at the button below.

Hi Nate
Thanks for your wonderful reviews. I would like to get your opinion as I am hesitant between 2 boards that I am planning to get.
I either want to get Nitro beast or Rome stale mod.. i would like to get your opinion on what are the main difference between these and which one youd recommend?
Currently im riding custom twin and i want to go stiffer and more aggressive, keeping the board twin and i love camber too mainly for the pop.
Regards

Hi Hamad
Thanks for your message.
I don’t test Rome gear and I haven’t ridden the Beast, so I can’t give any firsthand experience with those boards. You’re definitely going to get boards stiffer than the Custom Twin. Based on other Nitro boards, I’d say the 8/10 flex on the Beast is fairly accurate, though hard to say for sure how the flex feels, having not ridden it. Have no idea with the Rome Stale Mod, but assuming the specs are somewhat accurate it certainly looks like it’s stiffer than the Custom Twin for sure. They’re both all camber and twin, as you know, so they fit what you’re looking for, on paper. Unfortunately can’t give any more insight as to which would be better or the differences between them.
One thing might be sizing. One size might be better than the other. For example, the Beast looks like a narrower board and the Stale Mod a little wider. Depending on boot size, one or the other might be more appropriate. If you want help with sizing, I can help with that – would just need height, weight and boot size – and also the size of your Custom Twin would help too.
Sorry I couldn’t be more help with this one

Thanks for your reply!
When it comes to sizing, i believe the rome would suit me more as my shoe size is 10.5US and the beast tends to be narrower.
However, in your opinion, do you think a 0.5cm change in width size is considered as a break dealer?
Currently im riding a 154 custom twin.
My weight is around 160 lb, and im 5’9..
I was thinking of getting stale mod 153 or nitro beast 155.
I would like to know your experience with changing width size by 5mm how much impact can it have on the rider?
Nate says
Hi Hamad
5mm can definitely make a difference when it comes to width. More so in terms of the width at the inserts more so than the waist width. It can be the difference between boot drag or not (or in the case that the board is too wide, it can cause a board to turn slow or be more difficult to initiate a turn).
In your case, with 10.5s, I think the Beast is certainly borderline too narrow. I think it would be risky width-wise. I haven’t measured the Beast specifically at the inserts, but based no other Nitro boards, I imagine it would be roughly 257mm-258mm at the inserts, which is really pushing it with 10.5s. I haven’t measured any Rome board, so I don’t know what it would be at the inserts, but the 153 Stale Mod is likely to be wider at the inserts than the 155 Beast, but no guarantees there as the difference between waist width and width at inserts can vary quite a bit. But it’s the safer bet, on paper. So yeah, I think it can definitely be a deal breaker in your case, with 10.5s having a chance of boot drag on the narrower Beast (assuming it’s narrower at the inserts). If you’re not getting any boot drag on your 154 Custom Twin, you might get away with it, but it’s borderline.
I think those lengths would work for your specs and how you describe your riding.

Hi Patrick
Hoping to have the Santoku review out by Monday. Come back then and hopefully it should be published then.
