Burton is one of the biggest snowboard companies going around and have been at it for a long time. The lineup of 2018 Burton snowboards is a continuation of their legacy.
2018 sees a few new boards enter their line-up and some boards dropping out of their line, as is usually the case. Of course, most of the old favorites are returning too.

i bought burton talent scout. i know it is definitely not for beginners but just want to know how big mistake it is

It depends on if you got a 2018 model or a 2017 model. The 2017 model was a little more forgiving. Still certainly not a pure beginners board but doable for an intermediate level rider. Still not the most forgiving of skidded turns but ok.
But the 2018 model is what I would more consider an advanced and up level board. In terms of the camber profiles, it’s changed from Burton’s Purepop camber for the 2017 model to full camber for the 2018 model – so even less forgiving of errors and of skidded turns. It’s relatively stiff for an intermediate rider too, IMO. So, probably not ideal, unfortunately.
That said, some people, even intermediate riders, get along well with full camber, but others have a hard time with it.
