Below is a quick overview of the 2017 Never Summer snowboards.
I have grouped the boards into the categories that I believe they belong to. Some of the boards might belong to more than 1 category.
Never Summer have 9 different men’s boards and 4 women’s boards for the 2017 line-up plus split boards and youth boards.
Never Summer have a reasonably broad range of different boards and cover most styles of riding – certainly with their men’s line-up, anyway.
If you’re not sure which category best describes how you like to ride, check out the following article:
>>What Style of Snowboarder are You?
Beginner Never Summer Boards
I wouldn’t say that Never Summer do anything that is strictly a beginner board, as such, but the following would be their easiest to ride if you were a beginner looking to get into a Never Summer board.
- Never Summer Snowtrooper
- Never Summer Warlock
I would say the Funslinger too, except that it has Never Summer’s Ripsaw Rocker profile – which is a bit too aggressive for beginners. The Snowtrooper and Warlock have Never Summer’s Original Rocker Camber profile. The Snowtrooper, Warlock and Funslinger all have a medium-soft flex rating.
Jib/Street Never Summer Boards
They don’t really have any strictly Jib/Street boards either. The closest that I would use for this purpose would be the Funslinger – but the Funslinger is more versatile and not as specialized as a jib/street board.

Aggressive All-Mountain Never Summer Boards
I wouldn’t say there’s anything that strictly fits in here from Never Summer.
Though, on the women’s side, the Aura is bordering on this category. It’s certainly more aggressive in nature than the Infinity.
And on the men’s side the West is more aggressive than the Snowtrooper – but not to the point that I would say it belongs in this category.

Hopefully this has put the Never Summer snowboards into an easier to understand context, in terms of which style of riding each board is most suited to.
Never Summer’s men’s boards cover most categories of snowboard (as I view the categories), with the exception of anything that’s strictly jib/street, beginner or aggressive all-mountain). There are more gaps for Never Summer’s women’s boards and it would be great to see 1 or 2 more for the ladies in there.
