The following is a quick overview of the 2024 Rossignol snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2023-24 season, and any 2022-23 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model.
Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best and finally take a look at any changes for returning boards.
New 2024 Rossignol Snowboards
The new boards for 2023-24 are:
+ Scan Smalls - but not really new, just separated sizes from the Scan.

Summary
So there you have the 2024 Rossignol snowboards.
Out with the Old and In with the New
Really not much going on here. The Trickstick is out and the Scan's 80cm and 90cm sizes were separated into a new name "Scan Smalls". And that's about it really.
Changes to Existing Models
Jibsaw/Juggernaut/Sawblade/Meraki: Shape has changed subtly - with slightly more blunted tips/tails. But dimensions look to be the same.
So all round it's steady as she goes at Rossignol. Nothing much has changed for their 2024 lineup. Maybe all their R & D is going into their skis and other areas of business?

Hi Nate, curious to know where you rank the latest XV – I notice it’s not on any of your top lists. How would you compare it to the Yes Pick Your Line? Currently have the 2023 Jones Mind Expander and the Never Summer Westbound in my Quiver (and an older XV that is now way too long /big for me given what I like to ride now). Not in love with the Westbound and used to absolutely love my XV, so contemplating getting a new free ride board to replace it and between the PYL and the XV. Thanks!

Hi Daniel
Thanks for your message.
Unfortunately we haven’t had a chance to test the new iteration of the XV, so not sure how it rides. Rossignol boards have been hard to get hold of to test where I am in recent times. Love the Pick Your Line, so that’s always a good option, IMO. I really liked the older XVs, but not sure how it rides, since they overhauled it, so no good insights I can give there, unfortunately.

no worries, thanks Nate. Struggling with option fatigue with all the great options out there. I keep hearing the overhaul of the XV was for the worse so sadly I’m giving up on a new XV.
Right now I’m Stuck between:
– PYL
-a Libtech Orca (golden or regular) – trying a totally different camber profile
– Another Jones board (aviator 2? Flagship?)
From your reviews it sounds like PYL is the one but debating a stiffer option
Thanks so much!
Nate says
Hey Daniel
The older XV, in my experience was stiffer than the PYL. The PYL closer in flex to the Westbound, but it’s a very different feel to the Westbound. It’s more stable than the Westbound was. I really liked the Westbound, but some people really don’t like having that rocker between the feet. The Orca would be a risky option, given that it’s also rocker between the feet.
The Aviator 2.0 could work well with your Mind Expander. The biggest downside of the Aviator 2.0 is that it’s not great in powder, but you’d have the Mind Expander to cover that. The Flagship would also work well. Both are a little stiffer than the PYL, in my experience. Since you have the 2023 Mind Expander, it’s the hybrid camber profile, not the rocker that it was before that model. So if you like that profile, then you’d likely like the feel of the Flagship all be it in a less tapered and stiffer package (other differences too, but trying to simplify it). I really like the Flagship and if you wanted to err a little stiffer, this would be a good bet. And probably the most similar to the old XV of those options, IMO.

Thanks! Demo’d the Capita BSOD yesterday and loved it so leaning toward that, super stable at speed, really fun to carve. Too many options. Want them all..
Nate says
Hey Daniel. Yeah, the BSOD is a sick board at speed and for carving. So that’s definitely an option. And given you’ve had first hand experience with it now and know you like it, that’s in it’s favor too. Yes, I want so many different boards too! But my collection is already a bit out of control!
