Starting off our list at #10 we have Capita's Spring Break Resort Twin. This is a narrower take on their Spring Break Powder Twin. I fell for this board the moment I started riding it and straight away brought back nostalgia for the Capita Asymulator, which this has a similar personality to.

Capable everywhere but particularly good for jumps and side-hits.

Next up is the Jones Tweaker - Jones' only true twin snowboard.

When you ride this thing, you don't feel like your on a Jones, it is something quite different from anything else in their line . It's pretty soft and really playful.

If you like your riding playful and creative and want to take that to the whole mountain, including but not limited to the park, the Tweaker is a really fun option.

Next up, at #9 we have Bataleon's Tornado X Beyond Medals, Bataleon's Beyond Medals for their '26 line (they have a different Beyond Medals model each year).

Typical of Bataleon, it's a looser feeling ride and really playful and easy going. It's similar to their Whatever and both would be good options if this is the kind of board you're going for, but if you have the choice, I'd go with the Tornado X Beyond Medals.

Never Summer's Easy Rider, our entry at #8 is a little more on the aggressive side, despite its name, but certainly not something you have to always ride aggressively.

And while it's really good for carving and big air, it is still pretty easy to do more playful things, like buttering.

It's a nice, versatile ride that can take on the whole mountain, but with a distinctively freestyle flavor.

    Burton's Blossom comes in next.

The Blossom is the equal most aggressive board on this list and was moved over here from the now disbanded aggressive all-mountain-freestyle list. While the '26 model did mellow out a bit, it's still more aggressive than playful.

Super fun with adrenaline inducing pop being one of its particularly strong characteristics.

Our next board, the YES XTRM is new from Yes this year and, like the two preceding boards, is super fun for sending it on (and comes with an appropriate name).

I also found it to be one of the better carving twins going around. And these are just 2 of many great qualities this board possesses.

Never Summer's next evolution of the Proto is the Proto Type 3, and it presents a great improvement over the outgoing Proto Synthesis.

The Greats was changed up for the first time in a long time. The Greats Uninc moves over and in comes the Greats and Greats XTRM (see #1 on this list). The Greats is more or less a continuation of the Greats Uninc, with the XTRM being an upgrade version.

A board this stable at speed and with the kind of carving ability it displays, has no right being as buttery and playful as it is, when you want it to be.

Not a powder hound but if you’re looking for an asym twin deck you can carve up the whole mountain with,  when you're not hitting every natural hit you can find and lapping through the park, then you might have found your match in the YES Greats.

Particularly good for riding in icy conditions.

And finally, in at #1, is the YES Greats XTRM.

The Greats Uninc was the #1 board on this list for a long time and when they announced the Greats XTRM, I was super excited to try it, but a little apprehensive that it would be a stiffer ride than the Greats Uninc, which souped up versions often are.

But that wasn't the case with the Greats XTRM - it managed to be everything the Greats Uninc was only lighter and poppier - which is basically the perfect description for this board.

This board score so well, I had to adjust the scoring system for the whole list!

A seriously sick board that made me feel like a better rider from the first couple of turns on it.

Evolution of our Categories for 25/26

Snowboarding Profiles' categories have undergone some changes for the 25/26 season.

We decided that the aggressive-all-mountain-freestyle category was unnecessary and wanted to streamline things a little.

All the boards with current reviews from the aggressive all-mountain freestyle category were either moved here (all-mountain freestyle) or to the aggressive all-mountain category.

No adjustments were made to the weightings for each factor for this category, but there were a couple of effects:

    1. We changed the normalization factor to 90, from 89 - the reason for this was more to do with how high the Greats XTRM scored, but the aggressive all-mountain boards that were brought in did increase the average score as well.
    2. With the aggressive all-mtn freestyle boards coming in, it made this an even more competitive category, with the likes of the Lib Tech Off Ramp, Never Summer V-Twin and Bataleon Whatever missing out on the top 10 this year, when they were in it last year. This was partially due to the Blossom making the Top 10 from the other list, but was also because some of the new boards we tested also leap frogged them (YES Greats XTRM, YES Sender XTRM and Bataleon Tornado X Beyond Medals).
    3. The Super DOA, which was a top 10 board in the aggressive all-mountain-freestyle category is no longer a top 10 board in this category. Very close and would likely be a top 10 board in less competitive categories with its score here, but its score was less here than it was an aggressive all-mountain-freestyle board.
    4. Several boards rankings dropped a bit, because of the introduction of the boards from the aggressive all-mountain-freestyle category.

One board that came over from the aggressive all-mtn freestyle category scored well enough to make this list - the Burton Blossom.

Others that were moved here include:

    • Capita Super DOA
    • Lib Tech T Rice Pro
    • Nidecker Gamma APX
    • Nidecker Sensor Team
