The Rome Agent Pro is a poppy, versatile ride that loves to get freestyle, but is also great at cruising and carving at moderate speeds. Particularly good for going big off jumps, side-hits, etc, with ample spring and enough solidity to handle big kickers, while being easy going and forgiving enough to not be hard work at any point.
It has the ability to be both aggressive and playful, depending on the input you give it.
In this review, I will take a look at the Agent Pro as an all-mountain-freestyle snowboard, which we define as the versatile all-round snowboard that leans more towards the freestyle end of the spectrum.
As per tradition here at SnowboardingProfiles.com I will give the Agent Pro a score out of 100 (based on several factors) and see how it compares with other men's all-mountain-freestyle snowboards.

Who is the Agent Pro Most Suited To?
The Agent Pro is best suited to those who like to get their freestyle on all over the mountain, but also want their board to be able to handle a bit of speed and lay down some good carves, when not finding side-hits, lapping the park or buttering around.
Particularly good for those who like to go big with their airtime, but still want something that's forgiving and easy going enough to get a bit playful for ground tricks, rails, smaller side-hits, etc.
Would also suit someone who just likes to cruise the groomers and hit the occasional ollie over rollers, kind of thing, but they want the board to have a good spring and energy to it, even if they may not be doing anything too extreme.
Certainly could be a one-board quiver for a lot of riders or a great compliment to a quiver with a more powder oriented board and/or soft playful jib/park board.
Agent Pro DetailS

O.k. let’s take a more detailed look at what the Agent Pro is capable of.
Demo Info
Board: Rome Agent Pro, 157cm (254mm waist width)
Date: March 15, 2024
Powder
Not really a powder board. It wasn’t a deep day when I was testing, but based on the specs and general impressions it won’t be the greatest when the snow piles up.
There's a little bit of early rise rocker in the camber profile which should help it to certainly not be hopeless, but otherwise isn't built for powder.
Carving
Felt nice without being epic. Middle of the road, medium radius arcs on run of the mill Blue runs are the best fit. However, when in that range, it does carve really well and was nice and fun to carve. Just iif you try to power it up for high speed carves, it can get washy.
Turning
Ease of Turning/Slashing: Not effortless, but it does a really good job and certainly isn’t demanding.
Maneuverability at slow speeds: Easy to maneuver and do what you want even when the speed/forces are low.
Catchiness: I noticed a slight bit of tail catch when I went particularly slow, but as soon as I added some speed I didn't notice any.
Speed
It's not a gunship that you can dial way up. For anyone who feels like they ride at a “normal” to a bit above average speed, it’s fine.
Uneven Terrain
Crud/Chunder: Pretty decent. This is another spot where the slightly stiffer than average flex pattern lends some stability for plowing through cut up conditions.
Trees/Bumps: Moves good edge to edge for short, quick turns and weaving through bumps and trees.
Jumps
Jumping is where the Agent Pro really comes into its own.
Pop: Easy to access pop and I could boost about as big as my technique allowed; the board didn’t limit me at all. It didn’t feel super light, but that didn’t cause any problems.
Approach: Solid mix of stability and maneuverability to help you set up your flight.
Landing: Again, a perfect mix of absorbing the dynamics of landing without mushing out or being hyper responsive.
Side-hits: Side hits were super fun and they generally fall into the speed zone that this board likes to live in.
Small jumps/Big jumps:
Switch
It rode really well switch. Solid in transitions and is the type of board that can really boost your confidence riding switch.
Spins
Even though it doesn’t feel like a super light swing weight, the Agent Pro has a good mix of not over-rotating but staying easy to finish the spin on the ground if you under-rotate. Didn't feel catchy on either the setup or landing.
Jibbing
Jibs were good but not great. The awesome pop is its best jib feature.
Butters
Pretty solid. Locks in well and doesn’t over flex and only takes a little bit of effort to get started. Its overall buttering is probably slightly higher than its ease of buttering but nothing that takes too much effort to get the tip/tail flexing and was confident in spinning on the nose/tail without feeling like it was going to pitchfork me or anything.

Trees | 3.5 | 3.5/5 |
Pow | 2.5 | 2.5/5 |
TOTAL (after normalizing): | 88.2/100 |
The Agent Pro is a really versatile ride, with its only real weakness being powder, though it should be fine for handling occasional shallower powder, would just likely be hard work on the back leg in regular deep powder.
It's best feature is it's jumping ability, particularly due to its ample amount of pop.

Yes!! I’ve been waiting for this one!
I have a standard uninc and a Salomon assassin, I feel like I’d like something that’s as easily torsional flex as the assassin but way more snappy and poppy (easy to extract). I found the agent pro and was wondering if this board sort of lands in those areas. I like the uninc a lot but the torsional flex is a bit stiff
Hi David, thanks for your message.
My instinct is that the Agent Pro would give you what you’re after. I would say it’s torsionally similar to the Assassin but with more pop, in my experience.
