The Capita Pathfinder Rev is an easy going snowboard that is great for those starting out or those starting in the park or learning ground hits or getting into side-hits, riding switch etc.
It's super forgiving and easy to ride and something that feels effortless. It doesn't like to be pushed hard though. This is best suited for a more subdued energy approach - to let it do the work for you and allow you to get creative and try new things.
In this review, I will take a look at the Pathfinder Rev as a freestyle snowboard.
As per tradition here at SnowboardingProfiles.com I will give the Pathfinder Rev a score out of 100 (based on several factors) and see how it compares with other freestyle snowboards.

Who is the Pathfinder Rev Most Suited To?
The Pathfinder Rev is best suited to those starting out in the park or those who want a soft, playful, affordable park board to add to their quiver.
For the most part I wouldn't call it a one-board quiver, but for beginner to intermediate riders it could be one in the short term. But if start to develop your speed and carving, you're likely to then have this as your park/freestyle board, complimenting another board in your quiver.
TEST/REVIEW DetailS FOR THE Pathfinder Rev

O.k. let’s take a more detailed look at what the Pathfinder Rev is capable of.
Demo Info
Board: CAPiTA Pathfinder Rev 2025, 155cm (256mm waist width)
Date: March 7, 2024
Powder
There was a little bit of shallow, soft snow to play in, but it didn’t seem to love it that much. It does have a good bit of rocker and flat in the middle, so it's got that going for it, but not much else spec-wise. So while it does ok with shallower stuff, it likely won’t be what you want to ride if it’s a deep, face-shot kind of day.
Carving
This is not your tool to dial in deep carves. Probably would be decent for someone learning to carve at moderate speed, but once you really push it, it washes out sooner than I’d like.
Turning
Ease of Turning/Slashing: Super easy to initiate turns and slash with. If you're getting real skiddy with turns at ultra-slow speeds it has a tiny bit of catch, but otherwise it feels great and can slash with the best of them.
Maneuverability at slow speeds: Felt super quick edge-to-edge and effortlessly so, even at really slow speeds.
Catchiness: Almost catch free, 4.5 out of 5, but at the lowest speeds I did feel that slightest bit of grab.
Speed
Similar to the carving score, this board doesn’t live for speed. It gets wobbly pretty quickly but does fine up to that moderate speed zone.
Uneven Terrain
Crud/Chunder: t gets bounced around pretty easily. The softness that helps it excel elsewhere just isn’t powerful enough to plow through chunder or stay stable over rutted out or lumpy areas.
Trees/Bumps: This is a great ride for weaving between bumps and trees. It’s agile and so easy to turn that you can navigate however you need to. Since it’s easy to access pop on this board, you can throw in some extra spring if the obstacles are spaced right. In deeply powdered trees it would likely be prone to sinking.
Jumps
The overall jump score is 3.5 out of 5, but if you’re just getting started in park riding you could score it higher. What I mean is, it’s really easy to set up and access pop and make adjustments on take-offs and landings as long as you’re sticking to smaller jumps. What brought the score down was a lack of stability for faster approaches and bigger landings.
Pop: Easy to access pop, but not a lot of total pop.
Approach: As mentioned above, good for making adjustments but not super stable for higher speed approaches.
Landings: Great for smaller landings if you don't land fully straight or need to make any after landing maneuvers, but not super solid for big landings you want to stomp.
Side hits: Super fun for side hits because it’s so easy to maneuver and to generate pop.
Switch
I found it rode switch really easily. The smooth flex and lack of catchiness translates really well to going either direction on it and makes transitions easy.
Spins
It’s a light board and feels even lighter when you’re riding it, so it’s easy to get spins going and keep them coming around. It does have a tendency to keep spinning after you land, if you're not careful. But if you're under-rotating it's super easy to finish the spin on the snow without feeling like you'll catch an edge for your under-rotation.
Jibbing
It has the right feel for a great jib board. It’s just so easy to make little moves whenever you want to and is very forgiving when you're off the mark.
Butters
Really easy to butter and almost too easy to get into presses. Although it’s not mushy soft, it has enough give that you can sometimes over flex it and come out of your press at an inopportune moment.

Speed | 2.5 | 2.5/5 |
Carving | 2.5 | 2.5/5 |
Turns | 4.5 | 4.5/5 |
TOTAL (after normalizing): | 84.2/100 |
The Pathfinder Rev is a playful ride that is really fun for park laps and casual groomer laps, finding side-hits and buttering around. It also works well as someone's first board to learn the basics on, as it's really easy to initiate turns and forgiving, making it a nice confidence building ride.
And your bank account will likely be happy with its price too.
