Breathability: 20,000g
Seams: Fully Taped

Next up we have the Burton Gore-Tex Pillowline.

This 2L Gore-Tex jacket features a mid-level amount of insulation and all the waterproofing and breathability you would expect from Gore-Tex.

It's also really affordable, coming in at a less than average price for those in the top 10 (still a little more than the average of all 56 jackets that I looked at, but for the performance you get, really reasonably priced) and is the 4th lowest priced in this list.

Best Insulated Snowboard Jackets 2022

The 10 jackets below are what I consider to be the best insulated snowboard jackets for men for 2021-22.

As per Snowboarding Profiles tradition each jacket will receive a score out of 100.

Price hasn’t been taken into account in this list except that all the Jackets are less than 500 dollars.

The level of insulation hasn’t been scored, because everyone likes different levels of warmth – but the level of insulation has been noted for each jacket.

Compared to Other Jackets

Check out the stats below for all of the insulated snowboard jackets that I considered when making this list.

  • The average score was 75.0/100
  • The highest score was 96.5/100 (see below)
  • The lowest score was 60.0/100
  • The average price was $285

Note: that this list is based on specs only and not by personal experience with these jackets. So this is only going by taking the given specs at their face-value. Style, fit durability and weight haven’t been taken into account.

Thanks for Reading

Thanks for checking out my top 10 insulated snowboard jackets for 2021-22. I hope this post has given you some options and helped with your decision.

2020-21

Best Insulated Snowboard Jackets

The 10 jackets below are what I consider to be the best insulated snowboard jackets for men for 2020-21.

  • The average score was 75.8/100
  • The highest score was 96.5/100 (see below)
  • The lowest score was 47.0/100
  • The average price was $281

Note: that this list is based on specs only and not by personal experience with these jackets. So this is only going by taking the given specs at their face-value. Style, fit durability and weight haven’t been taken into account.

O.k. let’s get going with the top 10!

Starting out the list in #10 we have Volcom's TDS 2L Gore-Tex jacket.

Featuring Gore-Tex, the TDS is a highly waterproof and breathable jacket.

Whilst 40g of insulation doesn't sound like a lot, Volcom rate this as 8/11 on their warmness scale - so it might be warmer than that 40g suggests.

Thanks for Reading

Thanks for checking out my top 10 insulated snowboard jackets for 2019-20. I hope this post has given you some options and helped with your decision.

2019-20

Best Insulated Snowboard Jackets

The 10 jackets below are what I consider to be the best insulated snowboard jackets for men for 2019-20.

  • The average score was 75.0/100
  • The highest score was 100/100 (see below)
  • The lowest score was 49.0/100
  • The average price was $266

Note: that this list is based on specs only and not by personal experience with these jackets. So this is only going by taking the given specs at their face-value. Style, fit durability and weight haven’t been taken into account.

O.k. let’s get going with the top 10!

BEST INSULATED SNOWBOARD JACKET #10

686 Hydrastash Reservoir Insulated 2020

Waterproof Rating: 20,000mm

Seams: Fully Taped

Starting off the list in #10, we have 686’s Hydrastash Resevoir Jacket.

The Hydrastash Reservoir offers really decent waterprooding and breathability and mid-level warmth.

But the most unique thing about this jacket is the built in reservoir for holding water. This is a really interesting concept and great for anyone who needs water on the slopes but doesn’t want to have to carry a backpack or bottle.

Next we have Volcom's TDS 2L Gore-Tex jacket.

2018-19

Best Insulated Snowboard Jackets

The 10 jackets below are what I consider to be the best insulated snowboard jackets for men for 2018-19.

  • The average score was 73.4/100
  • The highest score was 99.0/100 (see below)
  • The lowest score was 49.0/100
  • The average price was $251

Note that this list is based on specs only and not by personal experience with these jackets. So this is only going by taking the given specs at their face-value. Style, fit durability and weight haven’t been taken into account.

O.k. let’s get going with the top 10!

Buying Past Season Models

Often models don't change that much from year to year so if you can find a past season model, it will likely be close enough to the latest model but you can get it cheaper, if available and in a suitable size/color/style for you. For past year's models check out the links below to see if they still have any left.
