Hello and welcome to my Union Contact snowboard bindings review.
The Contact are softer bindings with very good board feel, easy slow-speed response and pretty good cushioning.
I found that they didn’t provide the response or support I’d want for aggressive carving, but they felt comfortable and easy to manipulate, making them well suited to riders who value a natural feeling board flex underfoot and good slower speed maneuverability.
In this review I will take a look at the Contact as freestyle snowboard bindings.

Who are the Contact Most Suited To?
The Contact are best suited to freestyle, or casual, riders looking for bindings on the softer side of medium.
They provided me with really good board feel and were easy to maneuver at slower speeds. That makes them easy for presses, ground tricks, smaller park features and riders who prefer a more relaxed feel that don’t want to, or don’t have the strength to, have to put in a lot of heavy input to their riding.
They offer a little more substance and cushioning than the Flite Pro but weren’t as lively or technically impressive as the Neo. They occupy a useful middle ground for riders who want a relatively simple freestyle binding and don’t want to go as soft flexing as something like the Flite Pro.
Should suit beginner to intermediate riders particularly well, although more experienced freestyle riders who preferred softer bindings could also get on well with them.
I see them matching best with boards in approximately the 3/10 to 5.5/10 flex range, with boards around 3.5/10 to 4.5/10 being the most natural match.Test/review details for the Contact
