If you’re looking for a women’s all mountain freestyle snowboard then the list below is a great place to start.
The boards below are what I consider to be the top 5 women’s all mountain freestyle boards for the 2017-18 season.
How they Were Chosen
As is tradition here at SnowboardingProfiles.com the each board has been given a rating out of 100.
I looked at a number of boards and of those boards are the following stats – just to give you some perspective on the scores in the top 5 below.
- I looked at 19 different women’s all-mountain freestyle boards
- The average score was 81.1/100
- The highest score was 93.3/100 (see below)
- The lowest score was 73.0/100
- The average price was $459

O.k. let’s take a look at the top 5!
New for 2018: Since I don’t currently have a separate women’s aggressive all-mountain-freestyle list yet, I have included them in this season’s ratings. One of which made the list (see #4 below).
Women’s All Mountain Freestyle Board #5
Board: Niche Sonnet
Price: $519
Flex: Medium (5/10)
Rating: 83.1/100
- Hard/Icy Snow Option
The Sonnet is the sister of Niche’s Aether and is a great all-round all-mountain-freestyle option.
It’s also the best option in this list (along with #3 below) for hard/icy snow conditions – so if you encounter those a lot and like to ride freestyle over the whole mountain, then the Sonnet is a great choice.
The Sonnet’s Score Breakdown

Women’s All Mountain Freestyle Board #4
Board: Capita Birds of a Feather
Price: $419
Flex: Medium-Soft (4/10)
Rating: 84.3/100
- Aggressive Option
The Birds of a Feather is the most aggressive board in this list and would be part of an aggressive all-mountain-freestyle list if I had one, even though it’s technically the softest flexing in this list. But in reality it’s more of a medium (5/10) when you get it on snow with it’s more aggressive camber profile.
The Birds of a Feather (like the men’s DOA) is loaded with pop, stable and lively. Not the most forgiving of skidded turns so you want to have your technique down before committing to this one – but if you like you’re riding aggressive but still want to ride freestyle over the whole mountain, this might be the board for you.
And if you want something similar with a bit more flex again, there’s also the Capita Jess Kimura Pro – which is kind of like a souped up version of this.

Women’s All Mountain Freestyle Board #3
Board: Roxy Torah Bright C2X
Price: $499
Flex: Medium
Rating: 85.4/100
- Hard/Icy Snow Option
And the #3 spot goes to the Torah Bright (named of course after the Olympic Gold medalist Torah Bright).
Roxy’s Torah Bright is a board that you can chop and change between riding freestyle and laying down some hard carves.
It’s also the perfect board to take into the pipe – which shouldn’t be a surprise given Torah’s strongest discipline in Snowboarding is the half-pipe. If you like to ride the pipe this board should be your number 1 choice on this list. It’s also great in hard/icy snow if those are conditions that you tend to come across often.

Women’s All Mountain Freestyle Board #2
Board: Capita Paradise
Price: $399
Flex: Medium (5/10)
Rating: 86.5/100
The Capita Paradise is about as versatile as they come. It can really do everything – it’s even pretty good in powder compared to most all-mountain-freestyle rides – particularly so if you like to ride switch in powder.
Basically no weaknesses here, if you’re looking for that versatile board that can handle anything and everything well.
Plus, it’s the lowest priced board on this list – so if you’re on a budget but don’t want to sacrifice performance and everything else screams yes about this board, then you’re onto a winner here.

Women’s All Mountain Freestyle Board #1
Board: Never Summer Women’s Proto Type Two
Price: $509
Flex: Medium (5/10)
Rating: 93.3/100
Finally, at #1, we have the Women’s Proto Type Two by Never Summer. This board was a new comer last season – and was an instant all-mountain-freestyle classic.
The Proto Type Two is the only board on this list with an assymmetrical side cut making it feel more natural on your heel edge – and making switch riding a joy.
That also helps with it’s carving, which it would already be pretty good at without the asymmetry. You can bomb on this board when you want to and you can slow it down and play around. It’s also a jump machine – with plenty of pop and nice and stable on landings.
The Type Two’s Score Breakdown
