BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S FREESTYLE SNOWBOARD

Board: Capita Space Metal Fantasy
Price: $379
SnowboardingProfiles.com Freestyle Rating Score : 82.8/100
WOMEN'S FREESTYLE SNOWBOARDS CATEGORY STATS | ||
---|---|---|
Number of freestyle snowboards looked at: | 17 | |
Cheapest Board I Looked at: | $299 | |
Average price of freestyle snowboards: | $398 | |
Average Rating Score: | 80.9/100 |
Why This Board Was Chosen
The Space Metal Fantasy scores higher than the average score for the 17 Freestyle boards that I rated – and it’s also $20 cheaper than the average. That equals value for money in my books – in fact it scored well enough to make my Top 5 Women’s Freestyle Snowboards list, with the other 4 boards in that list all above the average price.
Another notable contender for this list was the Rossignol Meraki with a score of 82.2 and a price of $349.
BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S All-MOUNTAIN-FREESTYLE SNOWBOARD

Board: Capita Paradise
Price: $399
SnowboardingProfiles.com All-Mtn-Freestyle Rating Score : 87.6/100
WOMEN'S ALL-MTN-FREESTYLE CATEGORY STATS | ||

Number of all-mtn-freestyle snowboards looked at: | 22 | |
Cheapest Board I Looked at: | $319 | |
Average price of all-mtn-freestyle snowboards: | $449 | |
Average Rating Score: | 79.6/100 |
Why This Board Was Chosen
Another Capita board takes top honors here – and it’s another that made my top 5 for the category, despite it’s modest price.
And again, it’s well above the average score and well below the average price (by $50) for the category.
And of all the all-mountain-freestyle boards I looked at costing less than $400, the average score was 76.7/100 – so it’s way above that. A steal for the price.
The YES Emoticon is a notable second place too – the same price as the Paradise, with a score of 82.0/100, so still above the average score for this category and $50 cheaper than the average price.
BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S All-MOUNTAIN SNOWBOARD

Board: Rossignol Frenemy
Price: $399
SnowboardingProfiles.com All-Mountain Rating Score : 82.3/100
WOMEN'S ALL-MOUNTAIN SNOWBOARDS CATEGORY STATS | ||
---|---|---|
Number of all-mountain snowboards looked at: | 19 | |
Cheapest Board I Looked at: | $299 | |
Average price of all-mountain snowboards: | $427 | |
Average Rating Score: | 79.2/100 |
Why This Board Was Chosen
The Frenemy makes my Top 6 Women's All-Mountain snowboards list, which doesn't take account price. It's a good step up from the average score and $28 cheaper than the average price.
Honorable mention to the Salomon Wonder, also costing $399 and scoring 80.5. Or if you're looking for a more beginner all-mountain option the Nirto Lectra ($299 and 76.2/100) or the Rossignol Gala ($299 and 75/100).
BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S FREERIDE SNOWBOARD

Board: Jones Dream Catcher
Price: $449
SnowboardingProfiles.com Freeride Rating Score : 84.4/100
WOMEN'S FREERIDE SNOWBOARD CATEGORY STATS | ||
---|---|---|
Number of freeride snowboards looked at: | 12 | |
Cheapest Board I Looked at: | $399 | |
Average price of freeride snowboards: | $504 | |
Average Rating Score: | 79.3/100 |
Why This Board Was Chosen
With a score a healthy amount above the average and a price a good $55 cheaper than the average, the Dream Catcher was the obvious choice here.
The GNU Klassy is also great value-for-money, with a price $35 cheaper than the average ($469) and a score above the average (81.1/100).
BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S BEGINNER SNOWBOARD

Board: Rossignol Gala
Price: $299
SnowboardingProfiles.com Beginner Rating Score : 96/100
WOMEN'S BEGINNER SNOWBOARD CATEGORY STATS | ||
---|---|---|
Number of beginner snowboards looked at: | 28 | |
Cheapest Board I Looked at: | $299 | |
Average price of beginner snowboards: | $382 | |
Average Rating Score: | 88.8/100 |
Why This Board Was Chosen
This was the cheapest equal board that I looked at – and it was the highest that I rated of those costing this price. Not to mention $83 cheaper than the average price.
Price is taken into account for the scores for beginner boards – so this is somewhat skewed in this case.
Mention also to the Nitro Lectra with the same price ($299) and score (96/100) as the Gala and the Rossignol Myth ($299 and 94/100) - which is also a good freestyle option, if that's what you're looking to get into.
How the Boards were Chosen
The boards chosen above were not chosen just because they were the cheapest in their category, but because they were the best value for money.
This is a list of cheap snowboards so of course they had to be at a low price but the price-quality ratio was also an important consideration.
Over to You
Thanks for reading and I hope that this page has been helpful to narrow down some options if you are looking for a well-priced snowboard of a reasonable quality.
