Below are Snowboarding Profiles' Top 10 cheap women's snowboard pants.
This list has been updated for the 2023-2024 season.
This list has been designed to find the best women's snowboard pants from those that cost $230 or less. It's not just the cheapest pants you can find, but those of still decent enough quality, but costing no more than $230 (note that this amount has been increased from previous years, due to increasing prices).
As per tradition I have given each pair of pants a score out of 100. This isn’t an exact science but it’s an easy way to represent their quality. Each score is broken down into categories like waterproofness, breathability etc.
When there are 2 or more pants on the same score, the pants with the lowest price gets the higher position.
Compared to other Women's Snowboard Pants
Below are the stats for the 26 women's snowboard pants costing less than $230 that we rated:
O.k. let’s take a look at the top 10

BEST CHEAP SNOWBOARD PANTS #10
Pants: Burton Society

-
UK/EU
Score: 70/100
Insulation: 40g | ThermacoreEco
Waterproofing: 10,000mm
Breathability: 5,000g
Seams: Fully Taped
FIT: REGULAR
Starting off the list, at #10, we have the Burton Society snowboard pants.
While they may not have great breathability, they do have some decent waterproofing, helped by fully taped seams, which are rarely available at this price-point. In fact, these are the 2nd cheapest pants in this list and of all the snowboard pants we rated this year, to have fully taped seams.
They also have great functionality, including mesh lined zippered vents on the inner thighs, to help cool you down on those warm sunny days.
The Society come in short, regular and tall leg length versions, so you can get the fit just right for the length of your legs.

Next up, at #9, we have Burton's Melter Plus pants.
They are the cheapest pants on this list, and that's saying something for a list that's all about value. And for the performance specs in these pants, you really do get more than your money's worth.
They are the lowest equal (along with #10 above) in terms of breathability on this list, but if you can live with that, then you can get a really decent set of pants at a super low price, especially given that they have fully taped seams - the cheapest I've seen to ever have fully taped seams.
They feature a relaxed fit, with more room for layering than Burton's regular fit, and to help with freedom of movement.

UK/EU
Score: 75/100
Insulation: Shell
Waterproofing: 10,000mm
Breathability: 10,000g
Seams: Fully Taped
FIT: SLIM
The 3rd of 4 Burton snowboard pants in this list, the Vida Stretch feature a slim fit, the slimmest of all their pants in this list. To allow that slimmer fit but still remain snowboarding friendly, they are made with a stretch fabric (as the name suggests).
They also step it up a bit in terms of breathability vs the two previous pants but have the same waterproofing and functionality. They are a little more expensive than the first 2, but are still really reasonably priced for snowboard pants.

They have everything that most snowboarders are likely to need, like vents, gaiters and plenty of pockets, including cargo pockets, back pockets and fleece lined hand pockets.
Like the Vida above (see #8), the Gloria feature a slim fit with a stretch fabric. This is a good bet when you like a slimmer fit, but still want that freedom of movement from the stretch fabric.
The Gloria comes in short, regular and tall versions.

Score: 78/100
Insulation: Shell
Waterproofing: 20,000mm

Coming in at #6, we have L1's Ventura snowboard pants.
They have an oversized, loose fit for those that like their pants baggy. This also allows for plenty of room to layer underneath and for plenty of freedom of movement.
They may only have critically taped seams, but with 20K waterproofing, they still have really decent waterproofing. And they also feature great breathability.

Pant: Airblaster High Waisted Trouser
-
CA
Score: 82/100
Insulation: Shell
Waterproofing: 15,000mm
Breathability: 15,000g
Seams: Fully Taped
FIT: REGULAR WITH HIGH WAIST (tailored)
Coming in at #5, we have Airblaster's High Waisted Trouser Pants.
The High Waisted Trouser Pants feature 15,000mm of waterproofing and 15,000g of breathability to go with their fully sealed seams and zippered inner leg vents, giving you value well above the price you pay for them, IMO.
As the name suggests, they are high waisted. This is both a style thing, if that's your thing, but it also offers better snow protection (reduces the changes of snow getting down your pants) than lower waisted pants.

At #4, we have the DC Viva Technical snowboard pants.
The Viva are the 3rd cheapest pants on this list, but still manage to feature great waterproofing, decent breathability and about all the functionality you're ever likely to need, including:
- Jacket-to-pant connections;
- Leg venting;
- 6 pockets (zippered thigh, zippered hand and hook and loop back pockets).
They have a regular fit. Slim enough, but not so slim that you can't layer underneath. And the articulated legs help with freedom of movement so they don't have to be too baggy, if you don't like them that way.
