If you're on a tighter budget, but still want to get bindings of decent quality, then this is the list for you. Below are our Top 4 (with several alternative options) Cheap women's snowboard bindings for 2024-2025.
Because everyone needs different bindings depending on their snowboard, ability level and riding style, this list will be broken down into the following:
- Best cheap women's freestyle (mid-soft to mid flex, with good board feel) bindings
- Best cheap women's all-mountain (medium flex) bindings
- Best cheap women's freeride (medium-stiff flex) bindings
- Best cheap women's beginner bindings
How Each Binding was Chosen
Each binding in the list below is chosen for their value-for-money. This isn't simply a case of choosing the cheapest in each category, but rather still good quality options, but at a decent price. Each binding does need to be cheaper than the average price for the category to be chosen though.
Under each category I will show:
- the average cost of bindings in that category;
- the cheapest binding I found in that category;
- the reasons why I chose the binding I chose; and
- Some alternatives that are also good value for money
All prices shown in USD.

# of women's freestyle bindings rated: | 12
Cheapest bindings rated: | $179
Average price of freestyle bindings: | $236
Average Rating Score: | 80.7/100 |
Why These Bindings Were Chosen
While Burton's scribe bindings are only a small amount below the average price for women's freestyle bindings, but they are a good amount above the average score - and made #3 in our top 5 women's freestyle bindings list.
The average price of the rest of the bindings that made the top 5 was $274, a good $45 higher than the Scribe.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category remained the same. There were a couple of bindings that exited the list and a couple of new bindings and some price changes, but it still coincidentally worked out at the same.
- The average price for the top half (top 6) was $255, making the Scribe $26 cheaper than those that scored in the top half of this list.
- Of those costing $229 or less, not named the Scribe, the average score was 76.9.

BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S ALL-MOUNTAIN BINDINGS

Binding: Union Legacy
Price: $259
Snowboarding Profiles' All-Mountain Rating Score : 90.9/100
ALL-MOUNTAIN BINDINGS CATEGORY STATS |
# of women's all-mountain bindings rated: | 17
Cheapest bindings rated: | $209
Average price of all-mountain bindings: | $298
Average Rating Score: | 83.6/100 |
Why These Bindings Were Chosen
Retaining its spot from last year (and the last few years) for the all-mountain category is the Union Legacy. This is a super easy choice again this year.
The Legacy is $39 cheaper than the average price of this whole category, and are the #1 bindings in my Top 5 Women's All-Mountain bindings list, which doesn't take price into account.
The average price of all the other bindings in the Top 5 was $333, a good $74 more on average vs the Legacy.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category went up by $3 compared to last year.
- The average price for this category is $62 higher than the freestyle category (see above).
- The Legacy was the lowest priced binding in the Top half (top 9 scorers), despite scoring the best.
- Of the 4 women's all-mountain bindings costing $259 or less, not named the Legacy, the average score was 78.1.
- The Legacy were only $50 more than the cheapest option we looked at, but were $120 less than the most expensive option.

BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S FREERIDE BINDINGS

Binding: Burton Lexa X Re:Flex
Price: $329
Snowboarding Profiles' Freeride Rating Score : 87.8/100
FREERIDE BINDINGS CATEGORY STATS |
# of women's freeride bindings rated: | 11
Cheapest bindings rated: | $279
Average price of freeride bindings: | $352
Average Rating Score: | 85.3/100 |
Why These Bindings Were Chosen
$329 is not what most might consider cheap for bindings, but for this category it is. When the average price is $352 and with such a high score, the Lexa X becomes a really good value-for-money binding.
This list represents the stiffest flexing women's bindings and generally speaking with snowboard gear, stiffer = more pricey. So if you want your bindings stiff, you've typically got to pay for it.
The Lexa X are the 3rd cheapest in this category, $23 cheaper than the average price.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category went down by $6 compared to last year.
- The average price for this category is $54 higher than the all-mountain category and $116 higher than the freestyle category (see above).
- The Lexa X were the lowest priced bindings in our top 5 women's freeride bindings list.
Alternatives
Lexa X EST ($329 | 88.4 points) - technically the better value for money than the Lexa X Re:Flex, but can only be used on boards with the channel.

BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S BEGINNER BINDINGS

Binding: Union Rosa
Price: $179
Snowboarding Profiles' Beginner Rating Score : 94.2/100
BEGINNER BINDINGS CATEGORY STATS |
# of beginner bindings rated: | 21
Cheapest bindings rated: | $139
Average price of beginner bindings: | $226
Average Rating Score: | 83.6/100 |
Why These Bindings Were Chosen
Note that price is taken into account with the scores for beginner bindings (which it's not in any of the other categories), so this is somewhat skewed.
But the Rosa with the top score in the whole list - and being $47 less than the average price, still earns their spot here.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category went down by $8 compared to last year.
- Price is taken into account for the scores for beginner bindings – so this is somewhat skewed for this category.
- The average price for the top half (top 11) was $198, making the Rosa $19 cheaper than those that scored in the top half of this list. The bottom half of the list had a higher average price than the top half though - because price in this case influenced the scores.
- The Rosa was the equal 3rd cheapest in the whole category.
