Hello and welcome to my list of the top 5 cheap snowboard boots currently on the market.
This list represents what I consider to be the best cheap boots in a number of different categories. Because snowboard boots are all designed for different purposes the following categories will be included:
- Best cheap freestyle snowboard boots
- Best cheap all mountain snowboard boots
- Best cheap freeride snowboard boots
- Best cheap beginner snowboard boots
How Each Boot Was Chosen
The boots selected below aren’t necessarily the cheapest in their category but represent the best value for money. That said, the boot selected had to be at least cheaper than the average boot in the category.
For each category I will show:
- the average cost of boots in the category
- the cheapest boot I found in the category; and
- the reasons why I chose the boot I chose.
All prices shown are in USD and are the recommended retail price for the boots.
Note: This post covers cheap men’s snowboard boots. For cheap women’s boots check out the link below.

Best Cheap Freestyle Boots
Boots: Burton Moto
Price: $179
SnowboardingProfiles.com Rating Score: 77/100
Number of freestyle boots looked at: | 51 |
Cheapest Boot I Looked at: | $129 |
Average price of freestyle boots: | $234 |
Average Rating Score: | 76.1/100 |
Why these boots was chosen
The Moto’s score a respectable 77/100 – above the average of all of the freestyle boots I looked at but at the same time they are $55 cheaper than the average price.
So you get some decent performance as a freestyle boot without putting too much of a dent in the wallet.
Best Cheap All-Mountain Boots
Boots: Thirty-Two Binary Boa
Price: $264
SnowboardingProfiles.com Rating Score: 85.5/100
No. of all-mountain boots looked at: | 56 |
Cheapest boot I Looked at: | $199 |
Average price of all-mountain boots: | $291 |
Average Rating Score: | 79.6/100 |
Why these boots was chosen
Whilst the 32 Binary Boa’s are $65 more than the cheapest that I looked at, they are the best value for money boots in my opinion.
Their score of 85.5/100 is well above the average score but they’re price tag is well below the average – $27 less than the average all-mountain boot price.
If $264 is still out of your price range then the next best value for money for me was the Burton Ruler ($239, rating 80.5/100).
Best Cheap Freeride Boots

Cheapest freeride boot I Looked at: | $229 |

Why these boots was chosen
The K2 T1’s have performance that easily outdoes their price-tag.
With a rating score of 85/100 – a good few points above the average – and a price $40 cheaper than the average price, these bad boys are really worth their money.
Best Cheap Beginner Boots

It was a close call with the beginner boots. I chose the STW Boa because they scored way above the average rating and were $15 below what is an already low average price.
