Taking over from Rome's other women's freestyle board (the Heist), the Hype comes in after the Heist went up in price. It was only by $10 but it was enough for us to consider that the Hyper is now better value-for-money, especially with the average price for this category actually decreasing this year. 

The Hype is $57 cheaper than the average price of all the women's freestyle snowboards we rated but still scores a good bit above the average.

This was the cheapest equal board that I looked at – and it was the highest that I rated of those costing this price. Not to mention $83 cheaper than the average price.  

Price is taken into account for the scores for beginner boards – so this is somewhat skewed in this case. 

Mention also to the Nitro Lectra with the same price ($299) and score (96/100) as the Gala and the Rossignol Myth ($299 and 94/100) - which is also a good freestyle option, if that's what you're looking to get into.
