- Best cheap women's freestyle (mid-soft flexing with good board feel) bindings
- Best cheap women's all-mountain (medium flexing) bindings
- Best cheap women's freeride (medium-stiff flexing) bindings
- Best cheap women's beginner bindings

# of women's all-mountain bindings rated: | 15

Why These Bindings Were Chosen
This one is a no brainer this year.
The Legacy is $35 cheaper than the average price of this whole category, and was the #1 bindings in my Top 5 Women's All-Mountain bindings list, which doesn't consider price.
The '23 model of the Legacy is $70 cheaper than the '22 model. It's a rare thing when the price of snowboard bindings, or anything in this world for that matter, actually goes down in price.
Yes, there was a small downgrade in the ratchets (from magnesium to aluminum), which might ultimately affect the life of the bindings and might add a tiny bit of weight. But the size of the price drop isn't explained by that small change alone.
The main reason it dropped so much in price was that the Milan exited Union's line and the Women's Ultra came in. The Ultra was seen as a higher price point to the Legacy and the Legacy shifted into the pricing heirachy where the Milan had been. That's a win for the consumer, because nothing's really changed with the performance of this binding.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category went up by $18 compared to last year
- The average price for this category is $63 higher than the freestyle category (see above)
- The average price for the top half (top 8) was $313, making the Legacy $64 cheaper than those that scored in the top half of this list. And the Legacy was #1 on that list!
- The Legacy was the lowest priced binding in the Top 8, despite scoring the best.
- Of those costing $249 or less, not named the Legacy, the average score was 74.9
- The Legacy were the only bindings in the whole list that were both above the average score and under the average price - and they were above the average score by a huge margin - and considerably less than the average price.
- The Legacy were only $40 more than the cheapest option we looked at, but were $130 less than the most expensive option.

BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S FREERIDE BINDINGS
FREERIDE BINDINGS CATEGORY STATS |
# of women's freeride bindings rated: | 8
Cheapest bindings rated: | $279
Average price of freeride bindings: | $342
Average Rating Score: | 85.7/100 |
Why These Bindings Were Chosen
It might not seem like $329 is cheap for bindings, but for this category it is. When the average price is $342 and the lowest $279, the Lexa X become a really good value-for-money binding.
This list represents the stiffest flexing women's bindings and generally speaking with snowboard gear, stiffer = more pricey. So if you want your bindings stiff, you've typically got to pay for it.
The Lexa X are, however, $13 cheaper than the average price and come in above the average score, making them good value-for-money for those seeking stiffer more aggressive bindings.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category went up by $42 compared to last year
- The average price for this category is $58 higher than the all-mountain category and $121 higher than the freestyle category (see above)
- The Lexa X was the lowest priced binding in the top half (top 4) and, naturally, the lowest priced in our top 3 women's freeride bindings list.
- The average price of the top 4 was $361, making the Lexa X $32 cheaper than the average of the top 4.
- Of the 3 bindings, not named the Lexa X, costing $329 or less, the average score was 80.2
Alternatives
Union Trilogy ($279 | 83.7 points) - a very close second but only because it was under the average score, I didn't consider it, but if you're looking for cheaper than the Lexa X and still good quality, these are an excellent choice.
Lexa X EST ($329 | 88.9 points) - technically the better value for money than the Lexa X Re:Flex, but can only be used on boards with the channel
BEST CHEAP WOMEN'S BEGINNER BINDINGS
BEGINNER BINDINGS CATEGORY STATS |
# of beginner bindings rated: | 23
Cheapest bindings rated: | $139
Average price of beginner bindings: | $231
Average Rating Score: | 82.6/100 |
Why These Bindings Were Chosen
Note that price is taken into account with the scores for beginner bindings (which it's not in any of the other categories), so this is somewhat skewed.
But the Rosa with the top score in the whole list - and being $62 less than the average price still earns their spot here.
Some other notable numbers:
- The average price for this category went up by $18 compared to last year
- Price is taken into account for the scores for beginner bindings – so this is somewhat skewed for this category.
- The average price for the top half (top 12) was $199, making the Rosa $30 cheaper than those that scored in the top half of this list. The bottom half of the list had a higher average price than the top half though - because price in this case influenced the scores.
- The Rosa was the equal 2nd cheapest in the whole list
