The Jones Tweaker 2.0 felt extremely similar to the original Tweaker I had tested previously. Despite the new 2.0 name, I didn’t notice a dramatic change in its overall personality.
It was still a loose-ish, playful and easygoing all-mountain-freestyle board that prefers getting creative at moderate speeds rather than charging aggressively. It made quick turns easily, felt comfortable riding switch and had accessible pop that didn’t require much effort to extract.
What stood out more clearly during this test was where that playful personality had its limitations. Compared with the other boards I rode that day, the Tweaker 2.0 was noticeably easier to throw off line in crud. It also provided less reliable grip when I encountered icy patches underneath the layer of fresh snow.
But when I kept the speed under control and treated the mountain like a natural terrain park, it was still a fun, forgiving and confidence-inspiring board.
In this review, I will take a look at the Tweaker 2.0 as an all-mountain-freestyle snowboard.
As per tradition here at SnowboardingProfiles.com I will give the Tweaker 2.0 a score out of 100 (based on several factors) and see how it compares with other all-mountain-freestyle snowboards.
