2021 Rossignol Snowboards Overview

2021 Rossignol Snowboards

This is an overview breaking down the 2021 Rossignol snowboards lineup.

First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2020-21 season, and any old 2019-20 boards that aren't returning with a 2021 model.

Then I'll look at each board and put them into the categories where I see them fitting best.

2021 Rossignol Snowboards

New 2021 Rossignol Snowboards

The new boards for 2020-21 are:

  • Rossignol Juggernaut - New Aggressive All-Mountain Freestyle board. Takes the Jibsaw Elite and soups it up considerably.
  • Rossignol After Hours  - New women's freeride option. Good to see this come in this year as there wasn't really a specific freeride option in Rossignol's women's line until this.
  • Rossignol Jibsaw Elite - This is pretty much just a name change from the Jibsaw Heavy Duty. The only thing is that it has a new size (153). They do now rate it 8/10 for flex vs the Heavy Duty which was rated 9/10 for flex. But my guess is that it's just a rating change rather than any change in the actual flex. It was always rated too high for how it felt anyway, IMO. Even the description in the catalog is the same. So yeah, just new name and new graphic.
  • Rossignol Revenant - New all-mountain board. Though it's pretty much just a name change for the outgoing Angus. Pretty much the only thing that looks to have changed apart from the name and the graphic, is that the Angus had "edge roller" whereas the Revenant doesn't. From what I can see that's the only change - so essentially a name change.
  • Rossignol Sashimi LG Split  - Split version of the Sashimi LG

Exiting 2020 Rossignol Snowboards

The 2020 boards that aren't returning with a 2021 model:

  • Rossignol Angus - but essentially just a name change for the incoming Revenant
  • Rossignol Jibsaw Heavy Duty - but essentially just a name change for the incoming Jibsaw Elite
  • Rossignol Justice - not really replaced by anything. The After Hours comes in, but it's a more directional setup than the old Justice. Where I would categorize the Justice as an all-mountain board, the After Hours is more freeride.

All 2021 Rossignol Snowboards by Category

I have categorized Rossignol's 2020-21 lineup below. This is according to the categories here at SnowboardingProfiles.com and not necessarily the same as how Rossignol labels them.

Of course these are only broad categories as every board is different, but this is a rough guide.
