2024 Nitro Snowboards Overview

New 2024 Nitro Snowboards

The new boards for 2023-24 are: 

+ Basher - Asym twin, wide, stiff flexing (8/10), with 3D shaped nose and tail. Touted as a freestyle powder board.

+ Alternator - Subtly tapered (4mm) freeride, bordering all-mountain, directional board with a 7/10 flex rating and a 15mm setback.  

+ Squash Split Women's

Exiting 2023 NitroSnowboards

Summary

So there you have the 2024 Nitro snowboards. 

Out with the Old and In with the New

Some fairly longstanding Nitro boards exiting with the T3, Team Gullwing, Victoria Pro and Mountain all gone. Also gone are the Suprateam and the Squash Youth. 

3 new boards come in.

The Squash Split Women's adding to their split collection - and being a split version of the Women's Squash, naturally. 

Then there's the new powder freestyle Basher and the new freeride come all-mountain Alternator. 

Changes to Existing Models

Cheap Thrills: Shows "power core" for the '24 model and was "Powercore II" for '23 model. Thinking this is just a typo in one of the catalogs.

Optisym: NEW size 159

Prime Raw: NEW size 149. Flex rating has changed from a 5/10 to a 7/10. Thinking this has got to be a typo though as nothing else has changed, so where did that extra stiffness come from. Either they felt the '23 was 7/10 flex and they're just correcting the rating - or it's a typo (the latter the most likely, IMO).

Drop: Doesn't mention the "power pods" that the '23 model mentions, but this might just be an ommission in the '24 catalog.

Mystique: NEW size 138

Team: Dimensions a little different for sizes 155 to 162. Now slightly wider waist and slightly wider tip and tail dimensions. The 152 and all the wide sizes seem to be unchanged.

Team Pro: dimensions a little different for sizes 155 to 162. Now slightly wider waist and slightly wider tip and tail dimensions. The 146, 149, 152 and all the wide sizes seem to be unchanged

Team Pro Women's: dimensions a little different for the 155. Now slightly wider waist and slightly wider tip and tail dimensions. The 146, 149, 152 seem to be unchanged

Squash: NEW size 153. New shape - e.g. the 159: Running length now 1150 (was 1180), nose/tail width now 305/299 (was 301/295), waist width now 257 (was 255), sidecut now 8.4/6.4 (was 8.4/7.6). So a little wider overall, with less running length and a tighter sidecut.

Squash Women's: New shape - e.g. the 148: Running length now 1080 (was 1100), nose/tail width now 284/279 (was 282/277), sidecut now 7.9/6.0 (was 7.9/7.1). So a little wider overall, with less running length and a tighter sidecut.

Banker: "Sintered Speed Formula II Base" in place of the "Sintered Speed Formula HD Base" that was on the '23 model.

Dinghy: NEW size 160W.  "Sintered Speed Formula II Base" in place of the "Sintered Speed Formula HD Base" that was on the '23 model.

Most boards got a new graphic with the exception of the Pantera, Cinema and Lectra (though there is a "Lectra Brush" this year, which is a different graphic but otherwise the same board).
