The following is a quick overview of the 2024 Nidecker snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2023-24 season, and any 2022-23 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model.
Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best and finally take a look at any changes for returning boards.
New 2024 Nidecker Snowboards
The new boards for 2023-24 are:
+ Venus Plus - New stiffer version of the Venus. It's "mid-stiff" vs the Venus, which is "mid-soft". Venus Plus is also full camber vs the camrock of the Venus. In addition the Plus model has "Pop Carbon Plus" in place of the Venus' "Pop Carbon"
+ Gamma - New all-mountain freestyle, asym twin mid-flexing board. There was a limited 2023 release towards the end of the 22/23 season.
+ Gamma APX - Stiffer version of the Gamma. Vs the Gamma it has the "light core" (where gamma has "master core"), has "full camber" (vs "surfy camrock" on the Gamma), is "mid-stiff" vs "mid-soft" and has "pop carbon plus" in place of "pop carbon.
+ Micron Venus - new youth version of the Venus
Exiting 2023 Nidecker Snowboards
The 2023 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model:
- Micron Flake - but this is directly replaced by the Micron Venus, so it's more of just a name change

Summary
So there you have the 2024 Nidecker snowboards.
Out with the Old and In with the New
Essentially nothing has exited the lineup (with the Micron Venus essentially being a name change for the Micron Flake) but there a couple of really interesting new boards in the lineup.
The Gamma and Gamma APX fill a void in their lineup, adding two quality all-mountain freestyle boards and adding some asym options to their line.
And the Venus Plus giving another more aggressive option to the women's line.
Changes to Existing Models
Alpha: Gets the "master core" in place of the "NDK Swiss Core" from the '23 model. Flex now rated as "mid-soft". Was considered "7 - precise" on the '23 model.
Alpha APX: Gets the "light core" in place of the "NDK Swiss Core" from the '23 model. Rated "mid-stiff" now - was "8 - precise" on the '23 model.
Beta: Gets the "master core" in place of the "NDK Swiss Core" from the '23 model. Flex rated "mid-soft" now. Was "7 - precise" on the '23 model.
Beta APX: Gets the "light core" in place of the "NDK Swiss Core" from the '23 model. Flex rated "mid-stiff" now - was "8 - precise" on the '23 model.
Thruster: All same except dooesn't mention "hot stamp" for '24 model, when it did for '23 model.
Sensor Plus: Gets "light core" for '24 model (had "master core" for '23 model).
Sensor: Only thing is that they're rating it a "mid-soft", whereas last year was a "6 - playful".
Escape: Says new but the only thing I can see that's changed is they are saying "mid-soft" for flex, whereas it was "precise 7" for '23 model.
Escape Plus: NEW Size 165W. Gets "light core" for '24 model (had "master core" for '23 model).
Merc: Drops size 152M - sizing now also doesn't have the "M"s and "L"s which does make it look cleaner to me (not all, but several of their models are dropping the M's and L's from their sizing.
Odyssey: Drops size 151L and drops the M and L nomlecature. Now rated as "mid-stiff", rather than "6 - playful".
The way they present their flex rating has changed for each board. Instead of numbering from 1 through 10, they now have "soft", "mid-soft", "mid-stiff" and "stiff".
Mid-soft, based on what I've experienced with them, is more like mid to me and their soft probably more like mid-soft and their mid-stiff and stiff about right. Most of those that are now rated mid-soft were rated as "6 - playful" last year and most rated 7 or 8 are now rated "mid-stiff". But there are some exceptions. E.g. the likes of the Escape and Alpha and have changed from "7" to "mid-soft" and the the Odyssey has changed from "6" to mid-stiff.
