2024 Never Summer Snowboards Overview

New 2024 Never Summer Snowboards

The new boards for 2023-24 are: 

+ Easy Rider - New mid-flexing, twin, all-mountain freestyle board, which incorporates triple camber. 

+ Valhalla - New stiff, tapered directional freeride board.    

+ Cougar - Replaces the outgoing Hammer. Same shape as Hammer but with a "Recurve Triple Camber" profile, which has camber in the very middle of the profile, before small rocker sections and then camber again.

Summary

So there you have the 2024 Never Summer snowboards. 

Out with the Old and In with the New

As far as we can tell all 2023 models are returning with a 2024 model. The last couple of years have seen Never Summer's lineup shrink a bit, so it's pretty efficient as it is, so it's not surprising to see that they are all returning.  

There have also been some whisperings about a Proto FR splitboard but we've yet to see if it will actually be offered or not. 

Changes to Existing Models

Proto Slinger: Drops size 160X. 

Women's Proto Slinger: Adds size 142, drops size 150. 

Proto Synthesis: Drops size 162DF.

Proto Ultra: Drops size 163.

Proto FR: Drops size 164. 

Swift: Tweaks to the shape/sizing. The 157 is now a 158 and the 162 is now a 163. Plus there's an addition of a 153 for the '24 model. The waist, effective edge and tip/tail widths are the same but the sidecut has become a little tighter but pretty subtly. The nose and tail shapes are a little different, particularly the tail. Also mentions aluminum tip/tail protection (was P-Tex Tip/Tail Protection on the '23 model). We finally got on the Swift this year - and wow are we excited about this board! Review in the works. 

Shapeshifter: Name change from Shaper to Shapeshifter - plus nose shape had changed to be more rounded and less blunted. Otherwise appears the same.

All returning boards get new graphics too.
