The following is a quick overview of the 2024 GNU snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2023-24 season, and any 2022-23 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model.
Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best and finally take a look at any changes for returning boards.
New 2024 GNU Snowboards
The new boards for 2023-24 are:
+ Frosting - New women's directional all-mountain (according to GNU's classification) - looks like it's mid-soft flex, beginner to intermediate board, but our testing has it more on the stiffer side of medium. 1" setback, subtle 2mm taper. Replacement for the outgoing Ravish. Very similar specs. Sizing/Dimensions all the same. Same core etc as well. And the same profile. The only differences appear to be: 1. nose and tail shaping (more blunt on the Frosting) and 2. The Frosting is rated as softer flexing and with the graphs are tipping more towards beginner (prob because of the softer flex) - however, in reality we found it to be stiffer than its rated, so probably Ravish of old flex or at least similar.
Exiting 2023 GNU Snowboards
The 2023 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model:
- Chromatic
- Ravish - But replaced by the new Frosting. A little more than a name change, but pretty much like-for-like.

Summary
So there you have the 2024 GNU snowboards.
Out with the Old and In with the New
The Chromatic is the one genuine exiting board. The Ravish is also technically gone, but replaced like-for-like by the new Frosting.
Changes to Existing Models
Headspace: DROPS size 146. Says new shape and tip and tail look more rounded. Looses the asymmetry that the '23 model had. Sidecuts different because of that asym loss - e.g. 7.8 on the 149 (which was 7.6/7.8). Apart from that and apart from the new rounded tips look, everything else looks to be the same.
Rider's Choice/RC C3: Have these new "3-D delightwood asym chip power platforms" which are raised sections at the inserts. There doesn't appear to be any other changed specs apart from those new additions.
Essential: NEW size (153). Slight name change, by removing the "service" from the name. Otherwise looks to be the same.
Banked Country: New shape (on visual inspection the tail is more blunted and less pointy, nose looks same). This appears to be the only change though as the specs don't seem to have changed at all - all dimensions still the same according to catalog. However after testing it, it felt like it had changed from the old Banked Country. It felt a little softer flexing and a little more snappy. I really liked the change. If you're more into a stiffer damper board, you may not like the change as much, but I had a great time on this board - and I liked the old model, just like this one even more!
Hyper: NEW size (151). Otherwise appears the same.
Antigravity: New shape (on visual test the nose and tail are more rounded, where they had a more pointy nose and blunted tail previously). This appears to be the only change though as the specs don't seem to have changed at all, according to catalog.
Sensor: Only thing is that they're rating it a "mid-soft", whereas last year was a "6 - playful".
Gremlin: NEW size (161) but otherwise appears the same.
All boards get new graphics.

Hello Nate
I am looking for a new board, but I am not sure which one to buy. I already have the 2021 Nidecker Escape WIDE board, but I want a board that is more freestyle-focused. I have been looking at Gnu Money 2024 and Rome Agent, and I can’t decide which one is better suited for me because I also want to be able to ride on the slopes without falling when it’s icy and be able to do side hits. Which board do you think is better for me, or do you recommend a different board?
Best regards

Hi Jonas
Thanks for your message.
We haven’t tested the Money, so can’t say from experience specifically with that board. But the Agent would work well for what you’re looking for. It’s got decent enough edge hold in hard/icy conditions, is very good for jumps and side-hits and while the Money might be a little easier to hit boxes/rails with, the Agent is good for that too. With the Money having the C2e profile, and our experience with other similar GNU/Lib Tech boards, it’s not likely to be as good on a carve and not likely to be as good for jumps/side-hits, as the Agent. It’s got the magnetraction which should help with edge hold in hard/icy, but I don’t imagine it would be as good as some other magnetraction boards because of the small amount of camber.
Hope this helps with your decision
