The following is a quick overview of the 2023 Bataleon snowboards lineup.
First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2022-23 season, and any 2021-22 boards that aren't returning with a 2023 model.
Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best.

Summary
So there you have the 2023 Bataleon snowboards.
Out with the Old
A number of boards are retiring, namely:
- Jam
- Stallion
- Beyond Medals (Goliath Collab)
- Boss
- Magic Carpet
In with the New
A few "premium" versions of existing models are coming in, namely the Goliath +, Evil Twin + and Disaster +.
The Party Wave is also getting a twin version.
A new "Beyond Medals" collab comes in for the Whatever.
And finally The Cruiser, a mellow freeride board.
Changes to Existing Models
As well as some models exiting, with quite a few new models, a lot of the returning models have had some tweaks.
- Party Wave, Camel Toe, Love Powder, Whatever, Feelbetter, Push Up, Fun Kink, Spirit, Chaser, Distortia, Disaster, Wallie & Blow: All get a base upgrade - from their "Super Slick X" (Extruded) to their "Hyper Glide S" (sintered base). This now means that all of Bataleon boards now have sintered bases.
- Thunder Bolt: Waist width wider on the 156 and the 159W, stays the same on the 158.
- Thunder: Waist width on the 154 a little wider and a little narrower on the 161. The rest of the waist widths appear to be the same. plus an upgraded base from their "Hyper Glide S" to their "Ultra Glide S" base.
- Carver: Appears to have stiffened up from a 7/10 to an 8/10 and got "high uplift" for the nose of the board where it had medium. Uplift refers to how raised the edges are with Bataleon's 3BT tech
- Party Wave +: flex rating up to 6/10 from 5/10 on the '22 model.
- Party Wave: Waist width narrowed on the 145 size. Other sizes the same (in addition to the base upgrade).
- Camel Toe: Gets Bataleon's "Super Tubes" tech (in addition to the base upgrade)
- Whatever: Gets extra inserts on the back insert pack (in addition to the base upgrade).
- Feelbetter: Gets Medium Camber in place of low camber from the '22 model (in addition to the base upgrade).
- Spirit: Gets Medium Camber in place of low camber from the '22 model (in addition to the base upgrade).
- Evil Twin: Upgrades core to the "super ultra light" core from the "Ultra Light Core". Now 80/20 Paulownia/Poplar vs 70/30 Paulownia/Poplar previously.
- Blow: Gets medium uplift in nose and tail in place of low uplift on '22 model (in addition to the base upgrade).

Hi, always great to read your reviews and entire website! Thank you for all your hard work. I have a questions regarding the Bataleon Boss. Did you ever get to ride it? Any idea what it would comparable to? I ask because I found a new old stock for a good deal. Ty
Hi James, thanks for your message.
I haven’t ridden a Boss, unfortunately. Based on specs, I would say it’s the most similar to the Evil Twin Plus. Certainly not exactly, but looks to be a relatively close equivalent.
Good post . Many thanks
