2019 Capita snowboards are coming out soon and this is the line up that will be coming out of the Mothership this year.
A couple of boards drop out of the line this year, others return pretty much how they were last season, some have had a few tweaks and some have had relatively significant overhauls.
New Boards for 2019
- Scott Stevens Mini
- Micro Mini
The only new boards – or at least “boards with new names” this season are the Scott Steven’s Mini youth board (comes in 120, 125, 130, 135) and Micro Mini Kids board (95, 105, 115). Good to see a board in those 95 & 105 sizes now though – especially with my son nearly old enough to get on a board!).
These two essentially collectively replace the Micro-Scope, which drops out for 2018-19 – but with a wider range of size options – and the Scott Stevens Mini has a different core.
2019 Drop Outs
The following boards that had 2018 models won’t have 2019 models.
- Capita Thunderstick
- Capita Supernova
- Capita C.Slasher
- Capita Micro-Scope

All of the beginner boards have also been classified somewhere else on this list.

All Mountain
I’m not sure that anything strictly fits in this category from Capita – not how I would categorize boards. I would say that the Mercury would be the closest to this category – it’s kind of between this and aggressive all-mountain, IMO.

Freeride Capita Boards
Men’s
- Capita Black Snowboard of Death – See Full Review
- Capita Warpspeed
Women’s

Powder Capita Boards

Split Boards
- Capita Neo Slasher
The Neo Slasher is new for 2018 and is the split board version of the Charlie Slasher. Apparently a lot of people were using home split kits to make their Charlie Slasher into a split board – now you don’t have to because there is a split board version.
Kids/Youth Boards
- Capita Children of the Gnar (comes in 137, 141, 145, 149) – Similar to the DOA men’s board.
- Capita Scott Stevens Mini (comes in 120, 125, 130, 135) | NEW
- Capita Micro Mini (comes in 95, 105, 115) | NEW
Over to You
So, there’s the 2019 line up of Capita snowboards. Some changes to some of the boards, some drop-outs and some new boards for the youth/kids line up coming out of the Mothership this year.
I was able to demo a fair few 2019 Capita models over the spring and will have the reviews for those coming out during the year.
